Debbie Kasper

debbiekasper.jpgDEBBIE KASPER is one of the hardest hitting COMEDIENNES in the in the country. Besides being an award - winning actress, and published humor author, she has written for TV: “ROSEANNE” and “THE ROSIE O’DONNELL SHOW,” for which she was nominated for two Emmy awards. She received the DRAMALOGUE AWARD for the best one-person show in Los Angeles, for “WITHOUT ME, MY SHOW IS NOTHING,” and co-authored a parody of John Gray’s book “Mars and Venus On A Date,” embarrassingly titled “Bras and Penus on a Date.”

Her television stand-up credits include EVENING AT THE IMPROV, VH-I STAND-UP SPOTLIGHT, and several apperarances on LIFETIME’S GIRLS NIGHT OUT, plus dozens of other national and regional television, radio, and cable spots. Her theatrical approach to the art of stand-up has lead critics to compare her to Robin Williams, Lily Tomlin, Richard Pryor and Gilda Radner. Kasper’s take on a feminist trying to flirt with a cop is hysterical and her dead-on impressions of drunks bring down the house every time. But her characters eclipse her true forte: soulful, witty, sardonic observations that “cut through every one’s funny bone like a stun-gun.” Debbie’s battle with low-self esteem is as universal as it is funny, she quips: “If a guy calls me the wrong name in bed–I give him three more guesses.”

When she’s not performing her critically acclaimed stand-up act, Debbie is touring America with a “Self-Help:The Comedy” a two woman sensation she co-wrote and co stars in that spoofs the self-help craze. The theatrical show has been hailed as “HILARIOUS” “FRESH” and “A HIT” by Variety, The LA Weekly, The Philadelphia Inquirer, and dozens of other publications around the country.

To Kasper, comedy is not just a job. It’s an obligation even an honor, to “Heal America, one laugh at a time.” It’s also great way to get free drinks and save thousands of dollars on therapy.

I have never heard Debbie’s comedy act, but I have been around her and she is just naturally funny. I know her brother Reid also…and with a brother like him…you are destined to be funny!! I look forward to seeing her perform!

"... We would like to take this time to thank you for a job well done for the Richmondville Fire Department Fund Raiser... We had a great turn out and a lot of laughs. ... We were very pleased that John Mulrooney stepped in to help out.

The event was well received and talked about for days after. We had a great time and the money made was great for a small department such as ours.

We would like to make this an annual event if you think that is a possibility... Thank you again for a great time."
