John DiResta

John DiRestaJohn DiResta is the real deal. He is a true comedic mixed martial artist of the highest order. John started is comedy career as a New York City Transit cop. Interacting with thousands of people on a daily basis in the subway quickly turned John into a master conversationalist. John can hang with anyone; from his homeless buddies in the subway to Jay Leno, John knows how and when to turn it on.

John turned his life story into the very successful one man show. BEAT: A Subway Cop’s Comedy ran for eight months on 42nd Street in NYC.

Two days after it closed the project sold to ABC. John then quit the police job and moved to Hollywood. John’s self titled sitcom, DiResta, ran for 17 episodes on the UPN. John then went on to star in over a dozen feature films. He can be seen in both Miss Congeniality One and Two, How To Lose A Guy In Ten Days and the suspense thriller 15 Minutes along with Robert De Niro.

In addition to his sitcom John has had three additional TV shows on the air. He can currently be seen as the host of Hammered, the hysterical building show that runs on the DIY Network three times a week. John also played Brooklyn Johnny on Comedy Central’s American Body Shop. He was also the creator and host of Trash To Cash with John DiResta. Trash To Cash was a cult hit on FX. The show touched its viewers in a very unique way due to the comedy being real, fresh and whipped up on the spot.

John continues to hone his funny muscle on a daily basis. He headlines all over the world doing big live stand up events from Montauk Point to Hong Kong and lots of points in between. John has fans in New York, Austin, Fort Lauderdale, Sacramento, Detroit, Grand Rapids and Houston, just to name a few places. After leaving a live John DiResta comedy event most people have the same complaint, “…my face hurts from laughing.”

John is a modern-day Johnny Appleseed, spreading big smiles and huge laughs all over America. John has been married to his wife, Fran, for almost twenty years. They have three children, one of each.

"We cannot Thank You enough for hosting our very 1st NYS Correctional Officers Golf Tournament. The guys have not stopped talking about how funny you were and they cannot wait till next year. YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!! You made the tournament what is was with your humor, friendship and comedy. This being the very first one we were not sure what we would raise but because of ALL OF US we raised $5,000.00 on the very first try.

We cannot say enough for all you did. They talk about your show and they are still laughing. The next day I received 5 phone calls with 20 reservations for next year. Vinnie I Love You and I Thank You from the bottom of my HEART!!!
