The Saratoga Comedy Club

John Briggs

John BriggsJohn Briggs’ appearance belies a devilish sense of humor. Using solid material and a quick wit, he dances through an evening of outright laughter, audience camaraderie, audience antagonizing, and personal insights. Relying on clever material and riffs that are often more so, John brings the crowd around to his point-of-view during discussions on life as a comic, dating, children, relationships, religion and his own diabetes. Just a little something for everyone, from the avant-garde fan to the cynical patron who thinks he’s seen it all.

Over the years, John has appeared on Comedy Central and been a writer for The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, Nothing Really, and other programs. His material can currently be seen on Channel99.com. John’s been heard on dozens of radio shows, from the standard call-in shows to the crazy morning zoos. 2006 was another good year for this Philadelphia native, as he continued touring with his political comedy show, Left-Wing Laughs and joined the Comedy Against Evil tour. 2007 should see the release of John’s first CD, Step Away From the Edge, as well as the publication of his second novel, A Vote for Jesus.

"... I am writing you this letter to express my sincere appreciation for being a part of the Cindy Seeley Fundraiser...

Jodi and Vinnie, without you DONATING your time and incredible talent, this event would not have taken place. Thanks to you both, the event raised a grand total of $10,000.00 for Cindy's 3 children. You both will remain in my heart always for your generosity." - JoAnn Hathaway
