Mike Irwin is one of local comedy's favorites, and is a nationally recognized talent. He was recently diagnosed with stage four bone cancer of his lower jaw, neck, and lymph nodes. Immediately upon hearing of Mike's diagnosis, the Capital Region comedy community began planning shows to help raise money to offset Mike's medical and living expenses now encountered by Mike's wife Esther and their four children. Esther is working two jobs just to help make ends meet.
The May 16th event has been postponed. Stay tuned for updates as to when the next event is, and be sure to check out the benefit page for information on how to send donations to Mike's family.

"I would like to thank you so much for the great Comedy Night to benefit the Montgomery County SPCA building fund. Everyone is talking about what a great show it was, and they want to know when we are going to do it again. I know you guys weren't feeling well, so I can't tell you how much we all appreciate you coming and making everyone laugh. It was definitely one of the best fundraisers we have ever had. So from all the staff, volunteers and the furry ones who have not voice of there own, thank you so much for helping us to raise enough money to build a new shelter."

Can't wait till next year.
Sue - Montgomery County SPCA
